Long Nose Puppets is a Brighton based children's theatre company. Co-founded in 2006 by Polly Dunbar and Katherine Morton. Polly and Katherine met while both studying illustration at Brighton University. They make the puppets out of anything they can get their hands on, an old lampshade can become a very convincing Lion! Also part of the Long Nose creative team is Anthony Morton actor/puppeteer and Katherine's husband.
The music is composed by Tom Gray of the band Gomez. Tom also co-composed the music for the Cbeebies series based on Polly’s books Tilly and Friends.
Since launching Long Nose have produced four much loved and critically acclaimed puppets shows for children. They have performed at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The National Gallery, Seven Stories, Downing Street and many well loved theatres and festivals up and down the country.
Shoe Baby won Best Children’s Show at Brighton Fringe Festival, subsequent shows Flyaway Katie, Penguin and most recently Arthur’s Dream Boat have all gone on to be hits not only with very young children, but with their older siblings, parents and grandparents.
